Side hinged garage doors, Portman, UK
Traditional style side-hinged doors are ideal for garages in which
the various types of internal obstruction such as gas and electric
meters,
water pipes and shelving make the fitting of any other type of door
impractical or where personnel access without the need to open the
full door is a requirement.
Side-hinged doors are available in a choice of panel materials, steel,
timber and GRP (Glass reinforced polyester) and a range of designs to
suit most house styles.
Metal doors are available with either a primed finish to allow the client
to apply a paint finish to a colour of their choice or can be factory
painted to a range of colours. Whilst GRP doors are supplied with a choice
of gloss white or authentic woodgrain finish, doors of a wood construction
are again base coated ready to receive a final finish applied by the
client.
Generally side-hinged doors are outward opening to make the best possible
use of the internal garage space and although always supplied in pair
the panel combination can be configured in accordance with each clients
needs (i.e. centre-split or split off-centre) subject to certain size
and design limitations.
